dmichaud 0 Posted August 22, 2010 Tried my new Singh-Ray filters on this shot. Vari-ND at about 8 stops and 3 stop reverse ND grad to hold back the sky. Feedback appreciated, especially on any post processing ideas. Thanks, Dave Link to comment

whydangle 0 Posted August 23, 2010 Very tranquil image Dave! I suppose there are a few possible suggestions regarding postpro refinements, but I think you achieved your desired result. I certainly don't see anything glaringly wrong. If I were working with this, I might try to strengthen the color in the reflecting water and perhaps deepen the darker shadows on the lower right. I would also try to mitigate the red fringe where the sun is setting, but that is minor and it is an expected result. My strongest suggestion is to make sure you don't size your images over 1200 pixels wide so the viewers don't have to scroll to view the entire scene. Nice work! Link to comment

forrest_andrew 0 Posted August 27, 2010 wonderfully tranquil shot. love the contrast between the smooth water surface and the sharp silhouetted trees. the gradation in the sky is beautiful. stronger color in the water would probably add just a bit, but i really quite like this the way it is. beautiful!!
