Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 23, 2010 There's a timelessness and peace to this shot that I find very attractive. It almost seems located more in the mind than any real place (though I know it is some actual place, of course, unless you've found some way to photograph your reveries.) Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted August 23, 2010 Linda, superb composition and tonality. I agree with Jack. Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted August 23, 2010 Kind of crop protection I suppose. That aside, this is a very interesting and eye catching b/w work. Compliments Linda, fine capture. ( P.S. Hope it's not the roof a multipurpose sports-hall...) Link to comment
gunnar1664882369 1 Posted August 24, 2010 This is like a detail of old Italian painting from renessaince period. Very often they used in religion portrait paintings this kind on arches and landscapes for background.I like the tones and composition. Nice work indeed! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 30, 2010 A very well done photo that fits nicely into your portfolio. The overall graphic feel and approach is made more interesting by the framing, perspective, and natural landscape that backs it. I like the layered approach you took, with the strong, dark division provided by the trees running in the foreground of the landscape. The lines play very well here. Architecture can be as monumental as mountains. Link to comment
lliebl 5 Posted September 8, 2010 I'm pleased that you chose to comment on this photo. I was disappointed that I was unable to eliminate some of the noise in the background. Jack - although a compelling thought, I prefer to leave my reveries in my imagination. Gunnar - your reference to a renaissance painting is appreciated and why I chose to leave the arches. Fred - I appreciate your comments on the layering----I felt it unified the photo somehow. As to your reference to this fitting into my portfolio, I hope that doesn't suggest that I'm becoming too predictable. Thanks again to all for your comments. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~L Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted September 11, 2010 An impressive image - a visual contrast delight! Soft mountains and sky aligned with the hard curvy architectural elements. I could even read something erotic into this but I won't. Mon Chapeau! PS I like the noise in this image. Link to comment

human images 4 Posted November 15, 2010 it is indeed a beautiful piece, an elegant meditation. Appears to viewer as if a dream, if you could photograph a dream it would probably feel as this photograph looks. And you’re so right refraining from giving it a title Linda -- you knew it would intrude. Link to comment
