Sweet, soft and a stunner, all rolled into one.  Boy, she's growing up fast!... Excellent shot... Mike

Steve,

There is no question that Stephanie is a cutie. I really like the kicker on her hair to help separate her from the background. The soft lighting, skin tone, catch lights and out of focus background are all very good. The reddish background color goes nicely with the sweater.

Even though she is lying down, I would crop some off the right side to achieve a better left and right compositional balance.

Nice shot,

Mark

Steve,  This is a beautiful portrait.  Very nicely done.  I like the composition and would not crop the right side, unless you are looking for a different effect.  The skin is beautiful and her eyes gorgeous.  From a review of your portfolio, it is clear that you have an eye for beauty and a real talent as a photographer.  On the constructive side, the first thing I saw in this image was a yellow/red color cast that is often the result of low light and/or high ISO.  Did you check the white balance on the original file?  From many of Stephanie's other images, her natural hair color is blond and her skin tones are fair, but if you did it deliberately, I understand that it would be an artistic statement.  On my screen, the whites of her eyes appear a little strong.  Congratulations on a fabulous image.  David

Beautiful photo. Steffi is truly adorable.  Lovely light and nice expression. I think i would go for a square crop on this, but it's really a matter of taste. Regards - michel

Guys, Thank you for your comments - I appreciate your time. I tried several crops, including a more square approach but in the end decided on a 10 x 8 format - I like the space on the right.  I actually went for the yellow/orange tones on this one - more for artistic look than accuracy.  I have a b&w one of these which I post later.  Thank you again for your comments.  Steve
