There are apparently many varieties, in my 'Garden Visitors' Folder (I think), I didn a collage of them in the Pupae stage and a little description....I also have a shot of a white one.  I find it amazing, that the shell opens up, and out pop the wings and they fly away...!  thanks for your visit Donna, enjoy your weekend, sincerely, Gail
