I'm a sucker for grainy shots, Well done, I like the expresion and the subtle lean. Excellent.

I think you were lucky with light, it was very good for availble. Even has the catchlight in the eyes. A little more shadow, or a little underexposure might have helped make it little more somber, I am not sure though.
