jon_robert 0 Posted August 12, 2010 Very nice. I would like to see another with the same height in landscape with an expanse off in the direction the child is looking Link to comment
divo 0 Posted August 12, 2010 Sadly, this shot is about as expansive as it gets. I don't have any wider shots; however, you're right, that would make a great photo. Thanks for comment. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 15, 2010 I agree with the previous comment about a landscape frame, as this one is a bit pressed and narrow for this kind of subject ( on all 4 sides, especially the upper and lower sides). That said , the timing is good ,and it is well executed ( exposed) with the reflection of the child in the water.Devon, we never stop learning....The day we think we know everything, it is better to leave our camera in the closet....( I have already wrote it somewhere at PN.) divo 0 Posted August 15, 2010 Here's the original without crop. Not sure it gives enough room on the left. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 15, 2010 I tried to play with what there is .I have cut the upper side (which is less important but left enough space) and the RHS so the child is not in the middle(center) and have some more space on the LHS. did not touch the lower part .What do you think? Link to comment
divo 0 Posted August 15, 2010 Thanks for your thoughts. Yeah, I got hung up on the symmetry of the reflection and didn't think about where the child was looking. I had actually cropped like this at one point in development (Lightroom virtual copy). I'll take another look at it with your comments in mind! Thanks again! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted August 16, 2010 Thankyou for your visit to my portfolio Devon...as it brought me here to yet some more shots I have not seen. I think I'll enjoy exploring your portfolio. This shot is great. Nicely composed and the curious young little mani delightful. His reflection in the water is exceptional. Nice work! Sincerely, Gail Link to comment
