got my feet wet

First day out with the new camera. My feet got wet but the camera

stayed dry :)

oooh...i like it a lot. Nice perspective and choice of putting it as B/W was a good one. The borders kinda helped too. Nice.

Good composition - nay strong! Fabulous concept filled with atmosphere. I'm okay with the dof but the sky's a touch hot for my tastes. That observation ought not to detract from my overall appreciation which is favourable. Enjoy the new baby but do keep her dry.

Very nice capture. The only wish, would be good to see entire reflection uncropped.

I'm not as wild about the borders, and I wouldn't have centered the log in the picture. Still, the shot grabs me. I like the lighting and contrast. Nice shot! - Rosco -

It's a lovely image but my eye is grabbed by the near end of the tree. Perhaps if the tree was a bit less centred or if you looked along it a bit more the dark tree end wouldn't dominate the image. Also the horizon tilts & is too centred. Everything else is perfect. Love the reflection, the water on the sand, the movement of the sea & the sky. What to do? Straighten it up & crop out half the sky. However you are still stuck with that large, dead end of the tree. I'm giving it a poor mark yet the image has so much going for it.

Nice work. I would probably experiment with framing in order to adjust composition, just to make it a bit more dynamic (off-dead-center). Great tonal balance.

I noticed your rectangular version. They are both gorgeous but, when compared,

the rectangular feels crowded. This square one "breathes" much better for me.

Nice tones and a peaceful mood. The log and little island need to be separated some, rather than both being in the center to really make this even better. Still a good eye to catch this.

This is a shot I've tried to get a few times and I always use too slow a shutter speed to feeze the foam.....
