This is an interesting study in lines and textures. The only thing that bothers me is the shadow. If it were a little lighter, it would not be as distracting.

 And btw, pay no attention to the person who gave you 3's, some people are incapable of judging a photo and he is one of them.

Great composition.  Excellent studies in tone and texture.  Well done.

The shadows are rather dark, as Scott mentioned, but when you're shooting on location you can't always control the lighting as you would like.  I think you rendered the scene very well.  The shadows lend an air of mystery.
