Great portrait, however, the fabric tag on the left side is really distracting.

Excellent detail and composition, and a good subject. The eyes are particularly expressive, which is a very nice feature of this image.

The hardest part for me on the rare occasion I shoot portraits is in that required attention to detail - the cheap watch on an arm, an inopportune post in the background, etc.

Other than that small issue, it's a great image, keep it up!

In a portrait it is important to seize the moment, emotions.
It agree that details in a photo are important.
But when you catch a shot, details leave on the second plan.

If the photo has turned out, on a detail attention do not turn.

You're absolutely correct on the spontaneity - sometimes things are what they are.

Beautifully composed and cropped. Even tones. What lens did you use? For me, the tag is not too distracting but makes the photo more "natural". Regards.
