Works very well as an abstract, great colors, good use of filters (lensbaby?) to provide almost a watercolor feel to the background. Overall, a very appealing image - nice job!

Maria - your images speak to me intensely and I am a great admirer of your flower work. In fact i am so inspired by them that i will be attempting to follow in your footsteps if possible. I am very happy that I have a d300 and the same lens that you work with which means that i have a 50% chance but i know that the rest is up to the photographer.

I spent some time reviewing your impressive images and even visited your favorites folder and was very pleasantly surprised to see that of your 14 or 15 images there, you had one of my winter scenes.

For what it is worth, I have decided to rate this image a 7 - your overal average deserves to be higher than it is currently.
