Perfumed Intersection

ian cameron

Sunrise at the lavendar fields near Valensole, provence, France. These particular fields were huge and very ripe. The rising sun and films ability to detect infra red is responsible for the shifted colour palette from blue to pink in the lavendar. Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, polariser, 0.3ND grad, f/16 at 2 seconds. Velvia.

The buzz of a billion bees grew in intensity as the first rays of a new day

stain the lavendar fields pink, yet leave the shaded portions blue. This

stage lasted around thirty seconds before the whole field yielded to

direct sunlight and turned pink.

Hi Ian,

Just lovely. You captured the light and colors brilliantly. Composition with the converging diagonal lines and two horizontal lines in the upper part, is excelllent.

An image to watch, wonder and enjoy. My compliments.

All the best

I love lavender photos and this is one of the best 6 or 7 I've seen in the past several years.

Excellent composition and timing for the low light of the sun.

very strong composition of the mild scenery, all elements of light play extremely well together hence so do color hues. trees shadows on the field are just amazing.
