peter_daalder 0 Posted July 30, 2010 Stacks Bluff is Tasmania's sixth highest mountain (elev. 5010ft). This old tree provided an irresistible (half) frame. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted July 30, 2010 Ahhhh, the hallmark of an excellent landscape, it makes me feel like I'm there with you when I look at this. Beautiful color, detail, and depth... Mike Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 306 Posted July 30, 2010 I rarely give sevens to landscapes, but it would be a sin not to rate this one with sevens, ha!PDE Link to comment
erik_sven 0 Posted July 31, 2010 Hello Peter,A textbook composition for this beautiful landscape. Everything fits. The colours look crisp and natural at the same time. As it should be. A well-balanced image throughout.Kind regards,Erik Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted August 2, 2010 Michael, Pierre and Erik,Thank you very much indeed for your generous words. On a number of occasions, I have been fortunate to capture something worthwhile by sheer coincidence, or just good luck. The first time that I came across this tree and the great potential background, it was quite cloudy, mid-summer and bone dry = uninspiring. The second attempt was under clear blue skies and turned out equally unrewarding. On this third attempt, the following spring, everything came together very nicely! thadley 15 Posted December 30, 2011 Very nice - I have had to revisit sites a few times before getting something nice. Your persistence paid off. Link to comment
