erik_sven 0 Posted July 31, 2010 Hello Floriana,This image goes beyond what we see. It somehow expresses a state of mind. The subdued grey tones, as well as the merging of water, sand and sky, enhance that mood. Clever placement of the person, with the interesting detail of the converging waterline and footprints.Good compo and adequate choice for a square format.Kind regards,Erik Link to comment

mtmixon 0 Posted October 18, 2010 A fantastic, dream-like image. The clouds, soft yet menacing in their contrast, engulf the child, but the footprints are sharp and keep the child connected to the small portion of earth that remains. The gray tones are rich and varied and invite the eye to explore and play in their shades. Compositionally, having the child near the center but not quite there adds the appropriate amount of dynamism to the shot, and the bright white froth from the surf serves as a natural parallel to the line of footprints and leads the eye in the direction the child will eventually reach. Superb all around. This one is going into my favorites. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted October 19, 2010 This is an absolute joy to see!Your image is fantastic, and I mean the word in several different ways; technically it is impeccable, it is also quite an emotional image. And is that aspect which really draws attention, and wakens imagination. There really isn’t much more to ask of any photo, the ability to transfer emotion is what makes this an art, and not just technique to convey the world we see around us.My most sincere and deepest admiration to you, for seeing and making your view possible for every one else to see.Cheers, Link to comment
