javedrassi 3 Posted March 20, 2003 I would have closed a stop or so, bit overexposed but I like your composition. Link to comment
corey_bryson1 0 Posted March 30, 2003 Hi, Sure it could use some tweaking but I think the problem is the pictures originality. Its just a flower... With the amount of "photographers" today, you need more than just an interesting perspective on the same old flower. You captured the bottom of the flower nicely but where is love? Know what I mean... corey1980@hotmail.com Link to comment
pennington 0 Posted April 1, 2003 I love the composition and I think the exposure is perfect. If you stop down any you will lose the wonderful delicate feel of this picture. Link to comment
johnlund 0 Posted April 2, 2003 I enjoy it when commenters have opposing views. Sure, flowers have been explored as photographic subjects in great detail, but your composition is no cliche. I like your choice of background. The grid is a subtle contrast to the flower. Exposure is fine. The overexposed upper corner is okay, but I wonder why you lit it that way. Were you attempting to get more light to penetrate the petals? There's an interesting pattern of lines on the petals that I'd like to see get a little more emphasis via light or post-processing (sharpening). Link to comment
ifte_amjad 0 Posted April 7, 2003 i enjoyed this image very much. i like the overall lighting except the top left corner. well done. Link to comment
gregg_johnson 0 Posted April 9, 2003 I don't like this composition but, if I had to work with it, I would have used a colorful bg, maybe a soft red, got rid of the shadow, and used a smaller f/stop. Link to comment
dominiquedodge 0 Posted July 27, 2003 I like the originality of the background showing it's texture and I think it adds to the "clinical" look you've given to this flower - that's quite original IMO. Link to comment
