briany 0 Posted March 18, 2003 Can you guess how this was taken? Constructive criticism always appreciated. Link to comment
jim_feise 0 Posted March 18, 2003 The chair gives it away. The frog is on a glass patio table.Otherwise it would have been harder to guess. Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted March 22, 2003 That is one hell of a cute frog. This image would also look great if you cropped out the chair in the background and made it look like it was on a glass pool, but strangely enough, the chair seems to work in this picture, probably because it's blue also. This frog was tame enough to pose for you and let you take its picture? I'm impressed. Link to comment
misterken 0 Posted March 22, 2003 Agree with above comments about the chair. In its absence I would have called this shot Frog Legs on Ice. Link to comment
ajax 0 Posted March 23, 2003 Why not throw that chair away? I mean, in the photo, not in your home :) Sharp enough, cool colors and very nice reflection in frog's eyes. Also, a interesting expression. Link to comment
msmith13339 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Brian-- Nice shot. This frog might be the prop I was looking for to photoshop outside the window in Milwaukee. Link to comment
briany 0 Posted March 31, 2003 ...for all the comments and helpful suggestions. I posted this thinking that the hint of a chair would be only a slight clue. I was of course shocked when Jim posted his answer within 10 minutes of my submitting the pic! Ken, Daniel perhaps I should make a tighter crop and eliminate the chair's reflection in PS.Drummond-- As you know I like your architectural shot a lot. Perhaps this image approaches what you had in mind?? Photoshop is fun... ;-P Link to comment
msmith13339 0 Posted April 3, 2003 Hello Brian. I see now you have a slightly different version of the frog looking through the window here on your corner of photo.nut. I'm impressed with both and would like to suggest that you upload one of them to your portfolio because it would be amusing to see what the rest of the community thinks about our combined artistry and your wizardry. As for which one, they are both fantastic and I could not choose. Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted April 23, 2003 Have really enjoyed reading this thread... did you know that one little "blue" frog could be so much fun? Link to comment
paul_ensom 0 Posted April 26, 2003 Wow, what a great shot. Scrap the chair, and you've got a polar frog. Link to comment
catherine_apponyi 0 Posted May 5, 2003 GREAT PIC!!! I agree too tho, would be better without the chair. Link to comment
wieslaw1 0 Posted May 9, 2003 The frog looks almost submerged in the water-glass pool! Link to comment
mmmee 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Before I read the thread and with my first quick glance I thought this was a great under water shot. Keep the chair! It adds a bit interest and whimsey to the photo. Although the whole photo is cute and whimsey. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted July 18, 2003 Brian, the 'frogmuseum.jpg' is a perfect example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. It truly is better than either shot alone & if posted would rate much higher than either in my opinion. Perhaps you could co-post with Drummond. I agree that without the chair, your table that the frog is on would have been much harder to identify. Best, LM. Link to comment
