Hi!

Indeed the girl is very pretty and it would have been a very good portrait if you'd focused properly on her eyes. You can easily see that the whole face is slightly soft.

Next time try to frame in the way that nothing looks like having been amputated. I'd leave more space to her left (left breast is partially cut off).

Try also to keep your highlights in check.

Generally it's a good shot,

Adrian

Lindsay,

I don't know if this girl has beautiful everything. I can't see everything. What I can see is certainly beautiful.

Adrian is absolutely correct with his comments. Your subject should have more room in front of her than behind. This allows her to be facing into the picture, not out of it. You want to compositionally balance the left and right sides of the photograph. The compositional "rule" for this suggests that you position the tip of the subject's nose in the vertical center of the photograph. This little rule almost always works well. At least, it gives you a very good starting point to position your subject.

With her head tilted back, she looks a bit haughty and you are looking up her nose. You may want her to appear haughty, but it doesn't look very good to see up her nose.

Don't let her bra straps show. That is tacky looking.

She is probably sitting down. The way you have copped makes her stomach look like it sticks out. I would move in a little closer or have her stand up. Either way have her get rid of the wrinkles in her shirt.

The yellow triangle in the upper right corner is very distracting.

You would draw more attention to her eyes with catch lights.

Nice shot,

Mark
