laura2 0 Posted March 18, 2003 I cropped the top off the image as many people had suggested so the tree no longer makes her look like she has some weird headdress. (She kind of thinks she looks weird to begin with, but we won't go into her false sense of insecurity because I like my mommy) Rate/critique this image and let me know what you think! Link to comment
artofheadshots 0 Posted March 19, 2003 Hi Laura, I really like this version and I also liked your previous version. I see some digital noise in the models upper eye area. I am not sure how it got there but assume that it might have been produced from sharpening her eye in photoshop. If that is the case, I suggest you to use photoshop's layer to sharpen the eye, by using this method you can erase the unwanted information and it could solve this issue. Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted March 19, 2003 Thanks for pointing it out Ringo...I was wondering how noisy the eye really was, because I intentionally softened the face and had ignored the eye. I should definitely correct that. Thanks! Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted March 22, 2003 I like the idea of this image very much ........................ Two other versions which may or may not be improvements would be to have the face in focus as well as the background - The selective focus shown here was intentional on your part I believe but I'm curious how it might compare if it was all in focus ..................... And maybe to have her eyes shifted towards the viewer .................. These are just thoughts that come to mind ........ Not necessarily better ......................... Very interesting perspective as is . Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted March 22, 2003 Well she's willing to do it Ken :) I'll give it a try sometime soon. :) Link to comment
jimvanson 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Strange I thought I'd played with the cropping with this shot before...It's my old age I guess...The Shot: Great Shot, Superb tones but being the cropper I am I'd lop off almost all of the black along the left...say 10 percent of the picture. I think that the heaviness of the black overpowers the fantastic, surreal background. Check it out and see if you agree...well done as is though...jim Link to comment
