charodiez 0 Posted March 20, 2003 It´s simple excellent (at least to me)! You´ve got a great shot with simple things, and a great lighting. This could be found inside a book of "old houses". Link to comment
return_visit 0 Posted March 28, 2003 This is a controlled, well-executed image that works for the subtle interplay of colors which really serves to set a mood. This is much more artistic in its vision. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 16, 2003 For me this would have been perfect if instead of the "home sweet home" sign, there was a picture of an old man (or woman) on the wall. Then the story this picture tells would have been completely different and more interesting in my opinion. Just a comment on what this picture inspired me. I like the graphics of it, that's why I clicked on the thumbnail. Link to comment
dievee 0 Posted August 5, 2003 Hi James, I really like this image for several reasons, the beautiful light, the mood, the subtle matching colors, the textures and the feeling of reality, I was looking long for this picture waiting for someone to come in and sit down, I wish that I could see who was coming, I'm very curious and I have seen a few people coming in on several times during the longer time that I looked. So this picture is working, it is thought provoking and I love it. Congratulations. Link to comment
robin_betts 0 Posted August 6, 2003 Gorgeous colour, texture and form. It's funny how much more I enjoyed this image in thumbnail, before being able to read the picture. Lots of things crossed my imagination, including Whistler's Mother! For me, the Home Sweet Home strips the picture of its ambiguity - 'collapses' it. Link to comment
alex_lofquist 2 Posted August 7, 2003 I thought that it might be Whistler's Mother off her rocker. Link to comment
osoling 0 Posted August 9, 2003 I love this shot. The slight vignetting is great, and the balance is perfect. I looked at your portfolio and have to say that you are truly a photographic badass. You are going into my favorites! Link to comment
andrew_manrique1 0 Posted August 13, 2003 personally I think you have a very successfull composition. I dont think of the vignetting as a negative to the photo, especially when seen against a white backround such as the one on this site. With such a lite wall, the darkened edges set it apart and keep your eye in the photo instead of wondering off onto the backround. Well done. Link to comment
ektorcoughanour 0 Posted February 11, 2005 Lo mejor de esta fotografia es EL TEMA....de alguna manera me conmueve....ademas esteticamente es muy original, los colores, la textura y la iluminacion tambien sobresalen. ...Kind Regards. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 22, 2005 I love this shot. Its simplicity is self-evident...but the play between the colour of the couch and the texture of the wall and carpet...perfect. Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 22, 2005 Very simple, very good. Like the yellow in the chair. The sign at top adds balance and the words make the shot Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted March 26, 2006 Nice simple shot. I love chairs. This repesents an older perons home. Well done. Link to comment
jimknowles 0 Posted March 4, 2007 Older persons home? Funny - it was my home - at the time I made this picture my wife and i were both about 34 years old. But I do admit - she did have the taste of an old lady. hehehehe - guess you can tell we're no longer married? Link to comment
