If that really is tree in the foreground, then this is destined to be one of those famous optical illusion photos...and I sense it was done by accident! On the right is the thumb, and the left is the curved index finger with the tree in between.

Abstracting another layer, it's a bizarre Spider Man shot showing a really messy webbing shoot :-)

In any case, I really like the photo for its thought-provoking character and potential for illusion. That's what works so often in silhouettes...room for interpretation and imagination, and this photo has tons of it!
