Mark Keefer 4,769 Posted July 23, 2010 Shirley you are an amazing artist. This work is really really good, Mother's Day Card- Dream like. But from a guys point of view, the roses are a bit too girly for two Huck Finn type boys sitting by the pond, pondering what mischief to get into. If this is going to Grandma for Mother's Day then great. But from a guys point of view, lose the roses and maybe put in a fishing pole and an old dog. Just a guys opinion. -Regards, Mark Link to comment
Katerina Pachou 1,754 Posted July 24, 2010 I completely agree with the cropping suggestion (perhaps I would leave just a bit more the refection) because the bottom part is distracting. it is too much for the eye and it is such a lovely photograph.. Link to comment
javierlandaeta 0 Posted December 5, 2010 Hi, have no objections about the theme, colours and mood of your work. Congratulations! However, I'd like to point out that the rippling in the water does not make physical sense. I believe the ripple should have been centered right under the younger boy's right foot. As it is right now there is no explanation as the water is rippling. We don't see the kids throwing pebbles at the water, but we do see a naked foot wanting to toy with the water. That's why I believe the ripple should be right underneath the foot. Hope this helps! Link to comment
