papasan 0 Posted July 18, 2010 Very nicely done Brian. I really like the tones and contrast between the gray trunks and the yellow trees. Nice textures, leading lines and composition. Regards - michel Link to comment

harrylichtman 0 Posted July 19, 2010 Brian - I really like the composition and mix of tones in thyis one. Thnaks for leaving the shadows as shadows! So often images are adjusted to bring out every pixel, and just starts looking odd. Great mood here. I would be interested to know your technique for bringing out the luminosity of the aspen? as it doesn't look like there is much backlighting in other parts of the image where I might expect it. Great sky and just enough of it. Looks magical.Cheers, Harry Link to comment
brian_goodman 0 Posted July 20, 2010 Thanks again guys,Harry, thanks for your impressions. Tried not to go to crazy with the saturation on this image. The sky was that intense and really didn't need much work. Quite stunning really. The fall Aspens were also at full peak, but I did make a layer mask and gave them a shot of intensity. Maybe just a little to much. I'll probably tone those down for the print. Thanks again for your impressions everyoneBrian Link to comment
dr dan 0 Posted July 20, 2010 Well composed dynamic image. I like that you've not tried to overly brighten the foreground; the lighting seems perfect to me. Link to comment
