Dawn's Herald (2)

Very early on a cold winter morning, I made a 45 minute drive out to a lookout in Big Bear. Forty minutes of the trip were off-road, 4WD, through the snow, driving in the dark. At the end of the drive was a short quarter mile uphill hike in sub-freezing temperature, also in the snow.

I would have gone twice the distance at much lower temperatures for what I got to see that morning. It was truly beautiful. I have one other exposure of this same scene here Dawn's Herald (1). It is slightly more under exposed and I am having trouble deciding which I like best. Maybe you guys can help.
