wmc718 3 Posted July 16, 2010 Hi Barry,Well, IMHO, you've got a great start here, but it just feels unfinished to me. I like her pose, and from what I can see, she has a very pretty face. For me, this image is just too severely cropped. I think you could have at least have included her pretty butt along with the rest of her left arm and hand. Also, if you could have had her twist her head (and torso, if necessary) just a little more CW to see more of her pretty face, I think all that would have completed this image nicely. And since the lighting here isn't all that dramatic, you might consider playing with some B&W combinations. Just my thoughts, for whatever they're worth. But like I said... great start!Best,Michael Link to comment

bjcarlton 0 Posted July 17, 2010 Thanks for the comment. You've pretty much hit upon what I like about this picture. Michael wanted to see more detail of the model, but I rather like the abstraction caused by the tight crop. My conception here is more about line and composition than about either portraiture or body parts. (At the same time, I like Michael's comment, because it brings up thoughts about the image that hadn't occurred to me.) I think this model's back is really interesting, as she's so muscular, and that's what I concentrated on in this image. I do have photos of her that show more, but most of them don't do as much for me artistically as this one. Link to comment
Elstad 10 Posted July 17, 2010 Quite atheletic she is... I'm thinking some strong side light would really bring that out. Cheers, r. Link to comment
