avi a 0 Posted July 14, 2010 Hi Pnina, I like it, it's somewhere between a painting with bright colors and a photo. A lot is happening. It is pulling my attention in a good way.Not so sure about the size of the copyright ...Avner. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted July 14, 2010 Pnina, Is this one also from the boat? I think that again you are the one who is moving. I like that the blur allows me to identify the figures as people, but obscures their features. I love those translucent colors! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 15, 2010 Avi thanks for stopping by and commenting. I have started my career as a painter , graduated from Avni school of arts, switched to photography after many years of painting.I'm glad your impression was both painting/ photography...My copyrights is as is, because many works of mine, even series ,were taken out from here some with credit and some not..an example: Http://www.timesart.org/ArticleView.aspx?id=4642 Linda yes, it was photographed from our moving boat to an opposite moving one....I used the BG light and move to create silhouettes of the people, thanks for following it. ( BTW, I loved your lizards!) Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted July 15, 2010 I like the impressionistic feel a lot. I also like the central red color, which makes this special. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 15, 2010 Avi, I want to add that the series was taken out from here, and was changed from colors as was my originals, to B/W , not by me !Donna, thanks for your analogy to impressionistic feel, I'm glad it "translates" a bit to a painting.. Link to comment
avi a 0 Posted July 15, 2010 Pnina, I guess one needs to be good to be copied, so frustrating as it may be, you can also regard this as a compliment. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted July 16, 2010 The color is so warm and vivid. I like how every part of the shot has some little pop of neon. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted July 16, 2010 This appears to be a change of pace for you - well done, nonetheless. I like the blur effect that renders the people faceless. The sky is a magnificent shade of blue, bordering on purple.Shabbat Shalom, michael Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted July 17, 2010 Avi, a compliment maybe, but still too many were taken out without even asking, and I don't know what they were used for aside from showing in the Internet....Thanks for following Jeff, the lights in the canals are coming from so many sources, from the boat itself, from other boats, from the shore and in general a very unusual white nights light and atmosphere they create. Michael St. Petersburg white nights are having a different light that I was ever exposed to In any other place. If you will follow it I will slowly upload more of it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Shabat Shalom. Alberto, thanks as well. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 17, 2010 Very nice, Pnina, an impressionistic and vibrant display of color with details left to the imagination. That splatter right in the middle is fascinating. Any explanation? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 19, 2010 Jack ,it was photoraphed at night from our moving boat toward another moving one, I have no explanation for that splatter...only giving a hint that it was photographed in a water way( canal), adds imo to the mystery....;-)) Link to comment
