Roger,

This caught my attention but a lot of elements are stacked on top of one another. The board is hiding the red floating marker in the water as well as concealing the middle torso of your main subject. Landscape rather than portrait framing would also add impact. Work in that 'rule of thirds' and you've got a winner.
