Nice shot. I especially like the way the bird's feet are emphasised by the composition. There seems to be a slight "halo" around the bird, but that might just be how it looks on my monitor.

I have also photographed these guys, and found that I needed to set the exposure compensation to +1 to get detail in the feathers, however, this can cause the beak to blow out (get too bright) I am hoping for clouds or early morning/late day opportunity that will allow better lighitng for my shot. overall a decent bird portrait but same issues here - no detail in lower feathers, and beak a little too bright.
