Image is blown ut right behind the bug's head and low. White spot on the top edge is distracting. Upper half of background is quite noisy. More DoF for the bug's body would have been nice. Good colors, good camera position. Head somehow doesn't appear sharp...was this image heavily cropped?

Thanks, D.B., your points are well taken and do ring true.  As for the crop...it was about 30 %.   Appreciate your input!
