gunnar 0 Posted July 5, 2010 After another cloudy sunset, I tried to make the most of the sky at dusk. Thanks for viewing, Gunnar Link to comment
brian_haferkamp 0 Posted July 5, 2010 I can't quite put my finger on it but there is something just not sitting right with me about the photo. It feels like you're trying to pack two photos into one. You want the rocks in the foreground and also the sky but you can only have one or the other. The horizon is a little too centered for my taste, which, I think, is what's throwing me off. Try cropping the sky some or cutting out the rocks on the bottom.Highlight the sky or highlight the rocks in the foreground. Keeping both takes away from the centerpiece of the photo. I've included a possible crop with this post. It takes out some of the sky but seems to highlight the important parts of the photo. I think you'll find it more pleasing to the eye when you move the horizon up or down.On the bright side, the colors look great and it's a well-taken photograph. It has a nice balance (left and right) to it. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 5, 2010 I don't think these are the colors one would see naturally and I was not there but I love them anyways. I don't think everything has to be a rule of thirds and this works for me. Link to comment
