Amazing job !! Could not take my eyes out of this photo ! So simple and yet so powerful ! Any chance to learn how you have achieved such effect ?

The theoretical concept is really quite simple. The model was placed a little distance away from a black backdrop. A fairly narrow beam of adjustable light was pointed from the right side of the model, positioned in such a way that the left side of the face was placed in shadows sharply from the nose. The power of the light beam was such that the right side of the face was placed in Zone 7/8 and the left side of the face was placed in Zone 2/3.

And a slight adjustment in PS does the rest! Of course it is entirely possible to adjust things so that minimal PS is necessary.

You need a cooperative model. The light placement and intensity was adjusted with the eyes closed. And the picture taking only for a very brief moment.

Nice concept and well done. What about bring the face lower at right and give more space for the eye looking toward the top left? Good job, Yves
