tom_menegatos 0 Posted March 22, 2001 This is one of my favorite shots of Nicole and also probably my favorite lingirie shot so far. Link to comment
jason neymeyer 0 Posted March 22, 2001 This is a very nice photo. The lighting is soft and beautiful. The only thing I don't like about it is the chopping off of the top of her head. Link to comment
d._james_sgouras 0 Posted March 23, 2001 I think that chopping a bid of her head off on the left bottom corner was smart, as including here whole head would have caused the upper left corner of the photo to show too much negative space...... Link to comment
alix_day 0 Posted March 23, 2001 I like this shot. It shows great detail, so much so, that you can see that the model is not relaxed. She looks as though she is staring into the camera lens. There would have been much more detail in her expression if her eyes were not fixed on the camera. Link to comment
coastal 0 Posted March 23, 2001 I think I agree with Alix on this one. I think it would draw more attention to her clothes (or lack thereof) :) if she wasn't looking at the camera and relaxed her neck. What do you think? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 10, 2001 I love the photo. It may be a kinda cliched shot, but the way it's cropped makes it really stand out. I think that it would have worked with or without the model looking at the camera; it's very sexy... your whole portfolio is really good. I love to see more of your portraiture/fashion work... it really inspires me. Link to comment
jeakes 0 Posted May 13, 2001 I agree with those who like the crop...by not cropping the left I think my eye would wander around the image, not guided by the wonderful diagonal. The lighting is subtle, no harsh shadows. What was the lighting, all natural? All in all a nice shot. Link to comment
tom_menegatos 0 Posted May 13, 2001 Thanks... The lighting was two novatron heads into 2 umbrellas. One at 1 or 2 stops less than the other. And a third was doing something else.... I think helping to light the background. Link to comment
alex_hawley 0 Posted May 17, 2001 Tom, I've never seen T400CN come out this soft before. This is the look that I really appreciate and haven't been able to achieve. Envious! Link to comment
tom_menegatos 0 Posted May 18, 2001 If you want to see how great and how soft t400cn can come out check out Alex Lee's images on www.photocritique.net Link to comment
tom_menegatos 0 Posted May 18, 2001 By the way I did some dodging in photoshop on the face. I tried to emulate what the print looks like. I printed this myself and it's not that easy to print to get it the way I wanted. I have to use 2 different contrast grades at different exposures and dodge the cheeks and forehead a bit. I may just like experimenting in the darkroom though :) It looks nice at 8x12 on 11x14 fiber paper. Link to comment
tom_menegatos 0 Posted June 3, 2001 Simon, The day I stop learning photography is probably the day I'll give it up. :) Feel free to critique anything you want. I think what I say for myself applies to most photographers here. I don't make do this for other photographers I do it for myself. I like to have input from other phtoographers as far as technique but any one can say if they like something or not. Although they might not express it in the same way. Link to comment
nejattalas 0 Posted July 29, 2001 tuan is right..brightness could be less.but the model is comfortable and warm.good luck Link to comment
ricardojmendez 0 Posted October 24, 2001 Nicole is certainly beautiful, but while she's sexy in this image, I like her happy look in this one better. Link to comment
jasmine_obrien 0 Posted January 11, 2002 This shot nearly works but she doesn't look quite comfortable and the tele perspective makes it look like you're more interested in her bot than her face (of course you're not). I think a W/A lens could work better here. Link to comment
marco mugnatto 0 Posted March 11, 2002 Is it USA? Her lingerie looks like brazilian (small). I come back to look this photo every time. Link to comment
dean_cookson 0 Posted March 14, 2002 Tom, I like her looking up into the lens but something about the way she's holding herself makes me think she'd been holding that pose for a little while. She seems almost a little stiff. If she had been holding it, I wonder if having her put her head down for a few seconds to relax and then shooting just as she picked it back up would have made a difference? Link to comment
oxy 0 Posted July 29, 2002 If I would have taken this "eye control" would have focused somewhere else. Link to comment
