Beautiful. The smooth gray-blue of the water combined with the subtle shading of the boats is great. I really like the composition - at first I thought the bottom boat should be cropped out, but now I think it adds a needed weight to the bottom.

Aesthetically I think this image is very pleasing and what I like about it is that I feel that if I even breathe I will disturb this perfectly serene water. It's amazing that you captured this stillness. Wonderful!

simple well executed photo, I really like it

again one of the best pictures with boats that I have seen. When I thought the boats theme had been done to death by all and sundry, here is one that I really like. The stillness of the water and the gradation in tone is key. Well done.

There is a very "pure" feeling about this one. It's the sharpness of the boat edges and the stillness of the water. Very well done - a refreshing look at a much-photographed subject. My only comment is the jetty in the top right seems a bit harsh/out of place, still any other crop would spoil your excellent composition.

Thanks for all the great feedback. This is my first shot I've posted, and I'm relatively new photography, so it's good to hear a little feedback. I think I really lucked out with the conditions here!

this is beautiful. i agree with the critique above regarding the jetty. had you framed slightly to the left it would have been 2 percent better. still excellent. especially the light on the water.

Very nice capture. If you don't mind me suggesting this, I think I would have tried not to include the gray thing on the top right corner (sorry, I don't know the word in English for that). IMHO, it would result in a stronger image. But I don't know how easy/difficult would it have been to avoid that...
