This was actually an accident. My cheapo 28mm lens had a faulty diaphram which closed down significantly further than the marked f-stop resulting in underexposure by several stops. The photo was taken around noon.

A broken lens caused this shot to be underexposed by something like 5

stops. The scan isn't great I know, this slide is a film scanners's

worst nightmare, but the idea comes through.

Can you make modifications to my lenses so they'll screw up but produce something good? Maybe your lens is just really smart. I give you points for seeing what it is, but I think most of the credit goes to your lens :-)

Yes it was a fortunate accident but you are the one who saw that in this "ruined" image there was in fact a very worthwhile image. Good eye.
