Desert Paradox
Utah's Capital Reef National Park is a bit of a geological wonder. It seems that everywhere you look there's some fascinating piece of geologic evidence, revealing another part of the earth's unfolding history. Whether it's the Entrada Sandstone monoliths of Cathedral Valley, such as the 500 foot tall Temple of the Sun or the amazing jumble of crystalline gypsum (selenite) known as Glass Mountain, the sights of Capital Reef are bountiful for those who contemplate it's stark beauty.
