1000wordsphotography 0 Posted March 10, 2003 What was your vantage point? Is this an aerial view? Great color and drama. I can't think of anything "funny" to say on this one Ken. No puns or quips. Sorry Tex... it is just too handsome an image for humor. How thrilled I would have been to see this, not to mention capture it on film! Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted March 10, 2003 The Vantage point is a cliff which runs parallel to the coast in this part of Oregon ...... a special place for sure. Link to comment
koval 0 Posted March 11, 2003 Yes it is good shot. Just not too shure about the shadows (?) but I guess you did the best possible.Regards PK. Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted March 11, 2003 tough lighting sitiuation!...but this still works very well...good composition and dramatic light! Link to comment
barmijo 0 Posted March 11, 2003 Exceptional work!!! I especially like the layering of the rocks caused by the sun; it provides a great sense of depth. Link to comment

steven p 0 Posted March 12, 2003 Very dramatic lighting. Great job of handling exposure in these lighting conditions with just enough light to see a little foreground detail. A large print of this must look fantastic. Link to comment
wenger 0 Posted March 13, 2003 I agree with Bert that what makes this truly exceptional is the layering of the rocks as they silhouette ontop of eachother. A sunset does it again! Nice work. Link to comment
bianka_zalman 0 Posted March 24, 2003 Marvelous, surreal and dreamlike....a masterpiece! Link to comment
vincetylor 0 Posted April 29, 2003 Excellent lighting and a nice array of colors. The graduation of bright glowing light to the dark and misty, which goes from top to bottom AND left to right is quite unusual and very dramatic. Very nice! Link to comment
richard blount 0 Posted June 1, 2003 Absolutely beautiful, the lighting is wonderful as is the composition. Link to comment

davidmalcolmson 0 Posted June 23, 2003 Ken, there's more than a touch of magic in this lovely image. You've overcome all the technical obstacles that must have confronted you - the exposure must have been a headache but here it is spot on.The blue of the foreground throws into greater relief the splendour of the golden light in the sky.The stripe of raking sunlight in bottom left quarter of the frame is very effective in breaking up the 'coldness' of the foreground. One of your best in my opinion.
