plangereis 0 Posted June 20, 2010 An excellent image! I love the transitional area in the water between the reflection and the rocks in the lake. Very clean image, and nice cloud patterns in the sky. Congratulations, Chip!Paul Link to comment
stp 6 Posted June 20, 2010 What a superb composition! From the rocks to the clouds, this is wonderful. It throws me just a bit to see a reflection that is slightly lighter than the source, but I suppose that's the effect of the polarizer. Link to comment

wouter_sikkema 0 Posted June 23, 2010 Brilliant... what a scene! Maybe you can tell a little more about your technique for this shot? ND filter? HDR? Masterpiece! Favorite! Link to comment
chip phillips 0 Posted June 24, 2010 Thanks very much guys!Wouter-this is a single exposure with a 3 stop soft GND filter, and polarizer to turn the near foreground translucent. I brought out the reflections in the foreground a bit with some curves layer masks, and upped the contrast over-all the same way, with lots of layer masks, and luminosity masks, using curves. Thanks guys! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 25, 2010 This is such a beautiful shot. My brother works real estate in Banff/Canmore. He and his family have lived out there over 25 years. I was out last 20 years ago, and this photo just makes me yearn to see that beauty again.Your editing is excellent, from the great detail in the foreground to the majestic mountains in the background. Fabulous editing. Withou a doubt! 7/7 Link to comment
