I am trying to capture the sunlight filtering through the trees like I

have seen in some of my friends' photos. How am I doing with the

lighting? Thank you for your time. -- Janice

Thanks, Ruud. I like it, too. I was trying to achieve that misty look of the sun rays through the trees. Yesterday we had a thunderstorm, and the leaves were still wet. I just love Rarindra Prakarsa's morning photos with the light streaming through the trees. I was trying for this effect.

Thank you, Ellen. I think you should write a children's book about rats with your photos as the pictures. I am trying very hard at my photography. It is my escape from reality sometimes and my hobby always. It sure beats housework. Ha!

Thank you so much for the compliment.

Against the light simple composition with nice depth. Well done. Regards, ifti.

Jan,

The light is beautiful, the exposure is correct.

However the picture needs some drama...

I'm sure you can find some angles in Diana's Garden that can tell some stories...

Congrats !

Thank you for your compliment and criticism, Florin. I often visit Diana's house to walk her dog, KaLei, and feed KaLei and Tiger, the cat. So I have plenty of opportunities to try again. Sadly, I often feel that my photos are just average. What do you think of my other photo up for critique?(http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=11150551) Did I improve?

:) C'mon Jan !

I didn't want to harm you...

Your photos are NOT average.

Would I spend my time with an average person ?!

Think again and be BOLD !

;)

BTW: No ;)

OK. Thank you. Maybe a different angle, focus, a different way of thinking. I will try to be bold. I really like your "doll" photos. They are unique.
