This picture I like, But there is something missing, I have looked at

it several times and so have a few of my friends, but none of us are

100% happy with it, but none of us can say why, so I was hoping

someone could put light on what is missing.

While it is a nice shot, I think the left-hand side lets it down (for me anyway). I think shot in portrait and zooming in on the right hand formation it would work better. Something like what I have attached. That's not to say it isn't a nice shot as is, but I agree, it is missing something.

The left side of the shot is filled with close, defined subjects, but the right side is filled with a distant, landscaped sunset. I agree with the poster above in that it would be a better shot if the two were balnced (as in the portrait crop) than the original. The two seem to be competing in the original, but not in a strong enough way to add to the shot. Good color overall, and good exposure, but I think it could be stronger.
