flora INTO THE PINK

I always like macro photography of flowers... This picture is very very good, I like the lighting, the blurred background, but I gave the aesthetics 6 because the focus is not clear... and even the center of the flower (calyx?) is kinda blurry... but I really like the the framing and the color... Hm in a short time I will also upload some of my flower pictures... but I have never been able to chase and capture a bee or a butterfly on the flower he he he, michele nice work on your flowers

I agree, it seems most of my pictures are not as in focus as I would like. Either I am in need of an eye check and some glasses, or something is going wrong on my side of the lens. Although I think it is an intresting effect sometimes- it is not what I was going for. Oh, about the bee- It just hung out there for ever. I have been told it is a wasp. I freak out when they come near me but I just bit my lip and got as close as I could and took about three shots. There was terrible camera shake on the other two.. ha ha ha. I was lucky to have accomplished this shot. I would like to try again. There are these HUGE bumble bees out here in Florida. Man though they really make me nervous. The highlights look blown out, but curiously, they never reach an actual white, just a high-to-middling gray. This can actually cause a look of unshaprness -- your photographs will almost always look sharper if they're using the whole tonal range. I've attached a photoshopped version; usually I hate it when people do this, but it's probably the best way to make myself clear.
