Burned the sky, but it when I add contrast to the clouds, It loses details, any ideas?

I added a 4.5 filter on the ground and water and a 3 filter on the

clouds and burned the clouds in. My problem is when i add anymore

contrast to the clouds, they lose detail. Any ideas?
