mikelgondra 0 Posted February 26, 2011 Yes, I agree with before critiques. It has a lot of elements of a barroque dutch painting around 15th or 16th century. The light, her cloth at head, the rest of clothing, the details in wood. And some one mentioned Vermeer; I agree, perhaps because of the window on the left, but the most of Vermeer´s work were interiors and only one or two paintings at his beginning were taking street actions. Fabulous, a master work of make-up and shoot. Josemi Gondra Link to comment
Bachir 0 Posted September 27, 2012 Gunnar,This photograph is a pure example and epitomize your talent. For me, however subjective I am, this simple image had almost a mesmerizing effect on me when I first saw it and of course like so many, it really did evoke the Flemish master, but what made me wonder is how could the man behind the Olympus camera produce such quality with a mere snap, creating that end result. I guess it is not just your Vermeer eye, but all the constant improvement of technical abilities, certainly hard work in a good sense, pleasurable and passionate. I hope you keep on enjoying your art and inspiring all the guys & dolls P.N. members. Very best wishes, Bachir NB:Thank you very much for your kind comments on my photos Link to comment
