GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 14, 2010 What a breathtaking image Karolos!! Thankyou so much for including the History which I find most intriguing. The building itself is just magnificent, so hard to believe the time period it dates back to. Thankyou for sharing this image. Through 'your lens' I learn more and more about Greece, a country I would love to visit one day. most sincerely, Gail Link to comment
3m 0 Posted June 14, 2010 A really gorgeous view and a truly great capture..! -- I love the composition of the monastery on these massive rocks, against the white & blue of the clouds, and the distant landscape beyond. ( & thank you for the interesting information provided with it) -- Best regards, Marjolein Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted June 14, 2010 Just to see a spot as beautiful as this is a joy. Your photograph has a magical quality as if I were looking down on something akin to Camelot. Link to comment
chris_panagiotidis 0 Posted June 14, 2010 Between earth and a gloriously decorated heaven, these natural sky-scrapers have driven crazy infinite number of photographers since the very invention of the medium. Why is that ,you show us more than clearly , Karolos, with this epic recording of the Kalambaka-Meteora site. I particularly like the compositional virtues of your photo which permit an immense range of depth emerge through it. The clear atmosphere and the directional light do help also . Chapeau !
