Good picture. But I think it works better,if you cropp the bottom. The dog is not so important for the pic.Regards,M.

Cropping the dog out will enable your image to fully carry a serious and formal tone and give it more of a fashion slant. And the stairs fill the frame excellently. It would be a very good-looking photograph!

But you've got the dog and I like the dog. Her/his presence adds a whole 'nutha element and, for me, your photograph gains so much more personality. Without the dog, your photo is very good-looking/formal/traditional. With the dog, your photo looks like a random event but this one comes off as a very nice composition. And both the woman & dog are rubbernecking off in the same direction. Without the dog, it would seem like many shots where the model is simply gazing off into the distance. Add the dog and all of sudden I'm wondering what in the world is going on that's able to capture the attention of both the woman and the dog? It must be good. I wanna see...

And it's not a super cutsey dog. The one that you have here provides a good "foil" for the more formal model. (though I'm very biased towards golden retrievers :)

But if a more overall formal shot is your intent then dump the dog like Monika suggested.

Are those the stairs to MMOA?

Hi Rudy, you're right. The photo with the dog is more interesting. And when I think about it,I saw that's not the dog, that disturbes me,it's the white area without any texture,on the bottom. So,take the dog,put him on the stairs and the pic is perfect :-))))))

Thanks for your ideas. I was actually taking a photo of the model being photographed but decided to crop down to just the model and the dog when I noticed they were the only ones facing that direction. Everyone else was looking at the model. It was very sunny and the surface where the dog is standing is the only part of the pic that relfects it strongly. I'll spend a bit of time in photoshop and see what I can do.
