sue_foll1 0 Posted June 12, 2010 That's a very clever abstract. I like your way of thinking. Link to comment
nichroe 0 Posted June 12, 2010 Thanks Sue,,,good pictures and very bad shots have two things in common,,,they get a lot of 3/3ies and no comments,,,now i´m in doubt ;),,,,i find the wrong side right,,actually i cant see the wrong side in making it wrong ,,,now,,;),,for me this is freedom,,and straight upright only ,,like being put behind bars,,,,,,,,re niels Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 5, 2010 This works very well, like Fred Astaire dancing on the ceiling in Royal Wedding. The perfect tones enable the mind to overcome the pull of rationality. I think without this superb balance of tones the picture would seem forced and arbitrary. But here it all seems very natural and whimsical, as if tables regularly climbed walls when no one was around. Of course, my dear. As for the ratings, don't pay any mind to them. Most raters wouldn't be able to distinguish a piece of art from a slice of swiss cheese. Link to comment
nichroe 0 Posted July 7, 2010 ,,,,,,,like Fred Astaire dancing on the ceiling in Royal Wedding,,,,Jane Powell 1951,,,oh yeah,,i can still see that ,wonderful memory,,,maybe that´s my keypoint to the upsite down things,,;) i saw RW on 17´TV in the 60ies,,BW,, but remember it like color,,,,// if you look long enough at the corner left top,,,it´s hard to make out which way i turns to,,,,,if out side it changes the whole image,,if U can hold it !//,,,,,,,the ratings doesnt bother me anymore,,,rating says more about the person`s skill to see ! but for sure,,very few persons at the site show any interest to the modern photography at all,,,,that is sad,, the few make a lot of words telling how smart they are,,,but they forget the real thing,,,when it finally shows up,,some late monday evening. //the big shots/young talents find more welcome sites,, they never come back,,PN gets thinner and smaller day by day,,bad PN strategi,,imo,,best niels Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 7, 2010 I try not to be discouraged and keep moving on but it's difficult sometimes. So many excellent and creative pgotographers have abandoned this site in the last few years and many of those remaining have cut back their participation. It's disconcerting when you post something you are excited about and it's met by......silence. The artist retreats to his cave and studies the shadows cast by his fire. The gods dance for the few who seek them; the rest are satisfied to buy mass-produced, plastic dieties in the marketplace. Link to comment
