Amir,

Although I wouldn't call it a "Buzzard," you've captured it very well. I might have cropped a little of the left side of the image, but that's me.

I like the background, the tan colors compliment the bird very well.

Best wishes,

Hi James,

Thanks for your remarks.

i might as you suggested crop it a little, but decided to left the frame as it is - without any crop.

as for why wouldn't you call it a Buzzard, why wouldn't you ?  :)

isn't it a Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo) ?

Amir,

It is a "Bird of Prey," some sort of "Hawk" I expect, but I'm certainly no expert.

To call it a "Buzzard" seems to somewhat "degrade" it's significance, even if only in the images title. Most Buzzards are scavengers are'nt they?

It's a wonderful capture, and deserves more dignity IMHO.

James,

That's a very interesting thing you are saying.

i had no idea Buzzard did not sound good, or sound less good than a hawk.

The Red Tail Hawk in the US, is very similar to this bird, but as i mentioned  in Europe it is called a buzzard.

in general in the US lots of birds of prey are called hawk. although in Europe exactly the same species are called falcon/buzzard/Sparrowhaw.

Anyway, if only for marketing purposes , it is still good to know!

Thanks.
