This is a new favorite for me. How does this divine nature occur every where you go? Out of all the new images you posted I like this one the most. Also I totally agree with your frustrations about the rating system. They kill my images every time now. Thanks for showing us your amazing work!

This makes me think of a Bierstadt!  I love it and only wish I could know how you achieve this sort of work.  If you are willing to teach, please contact me at jim@jskassanoff.com.  All the best.

Marc, None of your work can be thought to go even less... I seriously count how many pros are there high enough to judge and rate your work... There's no written rule a photography should only be like this.. It's the taste differs mind to mind... In my view if I start to compare Very few style of images could be compared with yours in your area. And in that, few of them could be yours again.. I'll not be able to match your composition anytime even if I explore the whole of P.N   You are the MASTER of your own art. 7/7....!!!!

Unbelievable image. Love the mist at the back. I can almost feel the damp air on my face.

There's that yellow cast again. Is this a result of your photoshop work trying to get some extra brightness into the work?  Waterfall is a little blown as well. Nice composition spoiled by the cast and the blown waterfall - for someone so adept at arty photoshop a blend here would cure that..

Marc,
This is one of my favorite shots on Photo.net.  It has an absolutely magical quality to it.  I completely disagree with John regarding the yellowish cast.  You mention that the shot was taken during a heavy rain, so the actual color balance was probably a bit on the cooler side.  However, the color cast gives the image a warmer feel and, in my opinion, greatly enhances the mood and the atmosphere. I also love the tree in center frame.  It really helps to anchor the eye.
On a side note, I find it very distasteful that someone who has no images of his own posted on the site would constantly give low ratings accompanied by uninformed critiques of others' work.
