Not Here 93 Posted May 29, 2010 David... Just when I thought Hans was acting solo, I notice it's a trap... there are two of them! :-)... Excellent presentation that does illustrate the inherent stealth programmed in these hunting dogs... Have a great weekend.. Mike Link to comment

David-Wisse 5 Posted June 1, 2010 Thanks Mike, Patsy, and Radu - apprecailte your visits!Mike, these dogs have a very strong prey drive - they remind me of wolves sometimes. Here they've spotted a distant duck on the water, and gone into"stealth mode". Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 3, 2010 I'll tell you what I like about this one...and it's something that I've learned from my own dogs over the years...it's more than just a good photograph to me.You say that they've keyed on to a duck, and you can probably see the duck, yourself, can't you? When walking through the woods with my dogs, they would come to a dead stop. I would know that they've heard or seen something that I can't see or hear...but if I stayed quiet and still long enough, I'd see it. It might be nothing more than a bird, or maybe a possum or a squirrel. It wasn't really important what it was...just that they were aware of it and I wasn't is what always made it so fascinating for me.So with this photograph, you've captured that keen awareness that dogs have of their surroundings...that curiousity about their world. It's a world we can only imagine. In addition to capturing beautiful dogs in action, you've captured some of the feeling of what it's like to be a dog.I'm not sure I've expressed myself very well, but maybe you get the idea?
