Yosemite's natural firefall: A number of conditions permitting,

Horsetail Falls in Yosemite, turns into a ribbon of surreal color,

backlit by the setting sun. This rare phenomenon can be witnessed a

few days each February when the weather Gods co-operate with:

sufficient snow at the source, warm weather to melt some of it and

then a clear sunset in a usually cloudy and stormy February!

Well done on capturing this natural wonder. Well composed. Image is little flat imho, some shadows esp are muted. A bit of RAW/PS work should take care of it. Good show again.

Raghuveer, I really like the crop, and I do think it looks a bit more "abstract."  But I don't necessarily like it more than the original -- both are great photos, IMO.  I think you've come away with two really great photos with one click of the shutter.  It's often the case that there are other photos within a photo, just waiting to be recognized with a well-placed crop.
