dirk_juergensen 0 Posted June 1, 2010 Excellent. What I like best is how the smoke merges with his beard. Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted June 2, 2010 You've created a strong, powerful portrait. The exposure and depth of focus is just excellent. His gaze as he out, the smoke beautifully developed, I though this was just a dynamic image in every respect. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted June 18, 2010 Sumon,This is an interesting character study of this man. Your focus is excellent. He has good eye contact with the camera (viewer). The color saturation and contrast is very good. The red in the whites of his eyes actually seems to add to his look. The sun skimming across his cheek doesn't distract from this image. The background is nicely out of focus and he is well separated from it. As an image the composition is very good. As a portrait you could have more space on the right side. This would give more room in front of him than behind him. He would be facing into the picture rather than out of it. The darkness of his eyes make them quite mysterious looking. I would like to see the effect of catch lights. Catch lights would certainly help make his eyes stand out. I do wish the bridge of his nose didn't cut across his far eye.The brightness of his jewelry does draw my attention away from his face. There really are many light areas competing with his dark face -- including the bright orange head band. His face does does sort of blend into the background and looses importance. What you really want to do is to put the emphasis on his eyes which are not lit well. This is a very interesting portrait.Nice shot,Mark Link to comment

olafdevries 0 Posted June 21, 2011 The "portrait" is a strong one..! However, the dark eyes in fact only are reflecting spiritual darkness. Isn't anybody aware of that..?! Poor us, so easily being mislead. Link to comment
