Thank you both for your generous comments. It was unposed, but I liked the look of my son as supplicant to his sister, begging for another chance to hold the baby lizard he had caught for her earlier. It was taken at the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens, a lovely place to walk and pause and take photographs.

What a wonderful image! The beauty of the season, the warmth of family ties, and of course, the great light! Did you use fill-flash?

a very vibrant scene! and a great capture... i'd just lighten the bench a little and see if i could get a little more detail in the blacks of your son's clothes...

I appreciate the helpful comments. Brad, I don't believe I used fill flash. But the light here was kind of nice, direct overhead sunlight filtered through a canopy of leaves. 

And Rajat, excellent observation. I'm sure I can bring back the detail in my son's clothing, the nice thing about shooting RAW.
