May Morning at Ash Cave

Dawn on May 13, 2010 at Ash Cave in Hocking Hills State Park, Ohio. It's been a near

perfect spring here in Ohio. I loved being by myself at such a beautiful location at

sunrise. In this image I wanted to capture both the flow of the water and the ethereal

quality of the early morning light coming through the new growth on the trees.

Beautiful photo and great light.  I especially like the variations in the amount of light on the various branches.  The slight haze in the upper portion of the photo contrasts nicely with the clarity of the lower portion.

It must have been very satisfying to shot this shot its Excellent the greens are great and the play with the the light and water make it perfect for me.

Thank you. It was one of those perfect mornings. Beautiful light, no one else there (very early) and lots of water flowing from spring rainfall.
